Cheryl Kack

My name is Cheryl Kack MSW. LICSW.  LADC. , the owner and operator of Stepping Stones Counseling. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Licensed in Minnesota and Iowa.

The relationship that is established is the most important aspect of therapy as it is the foundation from which change begins to occur. I provide a supportive, non-judgemental environment where you can feel comfortable and safe in order to explore and share your concerns. My style in therapy is compassionate, warm and interpersonal but direct to help you find solutions that work for you. When individuals come to me for therapy they are trusting in my knowledge and abilities to help with the process of change by sharing their inner most thoughts and feelings, and I hold that with upmost respect. My philosophical orientation is to empower by helping you acknowledge and identify your own internal resources and self- awareness to resolve your difficulties and struggles.

As a therapist, my specialties address relationship issues, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, PTSD, alcohol and/or drug addictions and more. Each individual’s treatment is specifically tailored to meet his/her needs and goals using effective evidence based approaches. I work with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples.

I am dedicated in providing a high quality and therapeutic experience. Whether you are struggling with mental health and/or substance use issues, I welcome you to find out how I can help you become a happier and healthier person.
